Charitable Work

ACROBRATS has always offered charitable performances to institutions and organizations for whom programming is difficult to fund, yet is so rewarding to individuals in their care. These venues include nursing homes in the tri-state area, orphanages, children's hospitals, camps for the terminally ill and disabled children, and pediatric rehabilitation centers. Our performers have entertained at fundraisers and special event celebrations to honor such organizations. Both principals of the company have volunteered and taught underprivileged minority youth of mutliple ethnicities.

Whether a child or adult is wheelchair-bound, autistically-challenged, emotionally charged or handicapped in other ways, the simple act of balancing a single object or being lifted in the air, is a proven gift. It frees and touches the spirit in everyone. Such participation in physical arts, no matter how minute, serves to liberate young and old alike, from a sense of restriction and feeling of inability.
